Knesset Israel Cemetery

Knesset Israel's Cemetery is located on Peck's Rd, just west of the intersection with Valentine Rd., on the north shore of Onota Lake. To reach the cemetery from Knesset Israel, follow South Street through Park Square to North Street. Turn left at Wahconah Street and left again at the second traffic light onto Peck's Rd. The cemetery is on the right, just past the Lynda Court Apartments, across from the boat landing.

The cemetery is locked at all times for security, but keys are available in the synagogue office.

Cemetery policies are discussed in full in The Book of Life.

The cemetery is maintained by a volunteer committee at Knesset Israel, chaired by David Pill. Volunteers are welcome!

Cemetery and Memorial Information On the Web

The website has records for many cemeteries around the world. The Jewish cemeteries of Pittsfield are included, with memorials for virtually all interments.  Many K.I. families are interred in one or more of these cemeteries. By clicking on the following links, you can search for individuals by name. Once you have opened an individual memorial, you can use the links on the left to search for all individuals with the same last name in that cemetery, in Pittsfield, in Berkshire County, etc.

From these memorials, you will be able to request photos of monuments, links to parents and spouses, and other updates/corrections. You can also become a volunteer contributor and take over your relatives' memorials, adding biographies, personal photos, etc.
