Thursday, August 7 - Kinderhook Creek Preserve, East Nassau, NY

Moderate, 3-4 miles with some short steep slopes, 400’, 1.5-2.5 hours

Lots of trails crisscross this small preserve that protects a series of wooded ridges parallel to scenic Kinderhook Creek. We will wander the ridges, enjoy the overlooks, and, depending on the preferences of participants, climb and descend the short, steep ridges by a variety of routes. Leashed dogs are welcome.

Meet at KI at 9 a.m. to carpool. The trail head has a very small parking lot.
