Ramblin' with the Rav - Keystone Arch Bridges

Wednesday, August 17, 2022 20 Av 5782

8:30 AM - 1:00 PMMeet at KI, then carpool to Chester

Join our Rabbi for a moderately paced, moderately strenuous hike, a little Torah, and good company. Registration required. More information upon registration.

Hard to find, but worth the drive, the out-and-back trail takes us alongside the first railroad to cross the Berkshires. The river burbles, the cascades impress, and the handmade rock cuts and ingenious keystone bridges are marvels of not-quite-modern engineering. Not so physically challenging, but a Weiner family favorite!

3.5 miles, <400’ elevation gain, 2-3 hours. Prepare for muddy patches and mosquitoes. Please come properly prepared for hiking – appropriate footwear, hat, water, snacks, bug spray, poles if you use them, etc… Those who want to wade in the cool Westfield River for a different perspective on the bridges during or after the hike might bring water shoes.

Rain date August 24.

Sorry, Registration has ended.
