Weds, August 7 - Hollow Fields & Perry’s Peak, Richmond
Moderate, 3.8 miles, 807’, 2+ hours
A bucolic uphill walk through bird-filled meadows around a picturesque horse farm leads to a forested mountain trail. The cobble at the top offers views over New York State and, if the bears haven’t gotten to them first, plenty of wild blueberries. Descend through the meadows with a spectacular view of the Yokun Ridge. Be prepared for some mud and bugs. Leashed dogs are welcome.
Pacing: 1.75-2mph. This is not an easy or slow hike. People hike at different paces, and that's ok. If that sounds too quick or intense for you and you'd still like to join in a Ramblin' program, please register for Beartown or Keystone Arch Bridges instead.
Meet at KI at 9 a.m. to carpool to Richmond. The trailhead parking lot is very small.
Rain date Weds, August 14
