Change of Plans:

I discovered last week that the Lulu Brook Trail has a bunch of downed trees blocking the way. Scrambling was required. So instead we'll make the steady but manageable climb along the gradual Turner Trail to the wild azaleas in full bloom (if we're lucky) and the stunning view of the Catskills. Lots of mud on the trail! We’ll pause for a snack at the viewpoint, pass by by Berry Pond, then descend by the gradual Parker Brook Trail.

~6 miles, 950’ elevation gain, 3-3.5 hours. Rain date (but, alas, no azaleas) Sunday afternoon, June 11.
