We will read and discuss this short and accessible book for five sessions, chapter by chapter. Written by Rabbi Delphine Horvilleur, one of the four female rabbis in France, Rabbi Horvilleur drew media attention for her consistently compelling case for "laicite," a strict separation of church and state, in the wake of rising anti-Semitic attacks and vandalism in France. Please read the Introduction and Chapter 1 for the first session. Sessions will meet on January 6, 13, 20, 27, and February 10 (skipping February 3).
