What could be better on a cold winter evening than a family movie night. Beginning with Havdalah at 5:45pm to end Shabbat, we will gather for a Pajama Movie Night at KI with plenty of great movie snacks and hot chocolate (Please eat dinner beforehand). Wear your pajamas and BYO blankets, sleeping bags, pillows, bean bags, air mattress, gravity chair, or whatever you need to be comfy in the social hall.

After three stars have appeared in the sky, Havdalah is a brief ceremony to mark the end of Shabbat and the start of a new week. The ceremony is to distinguish between holy and everyday. Accompanied by guitars we will sing the blessings involving a multi wick candle, a cup of wine and a spice box containing cinnamon and cloves. Havdalah is intended to require a person to use all 5 senses: feel the cup, smell the spices, see the candle flame, hear the blessings and taste the wine.
