9:00 AM - 12:30 PMMeet at KI & carpool to the trailhead.Join our Rabbi for a moderately paced, moderately strenuous hike, a little Torah, and good company. Registration required. More information upon registration.
Weds, July 10- Warner Hill, then north towards Dalton
Moderate, 4 miles (one way), 500’, 2 hours OR 5.5 miles (one way), 625’, 2.5-3 hours
Every time we drive east on Williams Street, we look out towards the ridge behind Dalton Division Rd, but how often do we walk on it and look back towards Pittsfield and Mt. Greylock? The Appalachian Trail climbs north from Blotz Rd (near Ashley Reservoir) to Warner Hill, where there is a great view, then continues through the forest, descending towards Dalton. None of the climbs exceed 300’, but the route includes a lot of downhill hiking. Leashed dogs are welcome.
Before we set out, we will decide whether we’ll stop hiking at Grange Hall Rd. or continue to downtown Dalton.
Meet at KI at 9 a.m. to decide on an endpoint, shuttle cars there, then drive to the trailhead.
Rain date Weds, July 17
