    KI Reads: Anti-Semitism Revisited

    Tuesday, Jan 6th 7:00p to 8:30p
We will read and discuss this short and accessible book for five sessions, chapter by chapter. Written by Rabbi Delphine Horvilleur, one of the four female rabbis in France, Rabbi Horvilleur drew media attention for her consistently compelling case for "laicite," a strict separation of church and state, in the wake of rising anti-Semitic attacks and vandalism in France. Please read the Introduction and Chapter 1 for the first session. Sessions will meet on January 6, 13, 20, 27, and February 10 (skipping February 3).

    Color Your World Mussar

    Monday, Feb 9th 6:30p to 8:00p
Mussar is a Jewish spiritual practice for building character, one middah (or virtue) at a time. We will study Jewish texts each month on virtues such as generosity, humility, patience, or courage. You will engage with each middah/virtue through a variety of practices such as journalling, prayer, and text study, as well as through monthly conversations with a study partner/chevruta between class sessions.
