From Boston and Points East to the Berkshires:
Get off the Mass Pike in Lee at Exit 2 and follow Route 20 west (in Lenox, Route 20 joins Route 7) towards Pittsfield. In Lenox, you will pass through a commercial strip with the Dakota Restaurant on the right. 2.3 miles after the Dakota, you will see the blue "Knesset Israel" sign on the right. At the sign, make a VERY sharp right onto Veterans' Way. Go 1 block to the end of Veterans' Way and turn left onto Colt Road. Knesset Israel is the first building on the right. It is exactly 11.3 miles from the Lee exit toll booth.
Taconic Parkway to the Berkshires (from New York and Points South):
Go the length of the Taconic Parkway, getting off at the exit marked "Chatham, East Chatham, Route 295-Last exit before Thruway." At the end of the exit ramp, take a left at the stop sign and the first right onto 295 east. Continue on Route 295 east through Chatham and Canaan, crossing Route 22, and entering into Richmond, MA. When 295 ends, take a left onto Route 41 north towards Pittsfield. At the end of Route 41, take a right onto Route 20 east (also called West Housatonic Street) into the center of Pittsfield. At the big intersection of Route 20 and Route 7 (also called South Street), take a right onto Route 7 south. Continue for .3 mile until you see the blue Knesset Israel sign on the left. At the sign, take the left fork up the hill onto Veterans' Way. Go 1 block to the end of Veterans' way and turn left onto Colt Road. Knesset Israel is the first building on the right. From the Taconic exit to the synagogue should take 35-45 minutes.
